Aoba Johsai High—also known as Seijō—is one of the top four teams in the prefecture, having reached the finals of major tournaments multiple times, usually falling only to Shiratorizawa. Captain Tōru Oikawa has a knack for bringing out the best in his teammates.
Nekoma High is famed for its flexible play and razor-sharp receives—hence the nickname “the Cats.” True to that moniker, the squad prides itself on clever, controlled strategy. Their rivalry with Karasuno High goes all the way back to coaches Nekomata and Ukai, and their legendary showdowns are celebrated as the “Battle at the Garbage Dump.”
Date Tech High is notorious for its rock-solid defense and physically imposing players. Sporting the prefecture’s highest block rate, the team proudly answers to the nickname “the Iron Wall.” Fittingly, their banner proclaims: “Date’s Iron Wall.” Few attacks squeeze through unscathed.
Kamomedai High builds its game on three pillars: serving, blocking, and mental strength. Their versatile jump serves and finely tuned block tactics rank among the best in Japan. They stay composed even in headwinds—like seagulls that never stray from their course.
